Introducing...inSire FastForward

inSire FastForward is here – the new ‘official’ name for AmBreed’s Progeny Test Program (in association with parent company CRV) signaling the inaugural release of our Elite team of genomically selected Friesian and Jersey FastForward young sires for the 2008-09 season.

Our 2008 Elite young sires will represent the very best dairy genetics AmBreed has to offer, and as part of AmBreed’s official progeny test program are available ONLY to participating ‘FastForward’ herds and as contract mating sires. Shortly our FastForward farmers will receive their 2008 InSire FastForward Directory detailing these new young sires.

How FastForward works
AmBreed randomly mates its team of progeny test young sires across participating FastForward herds with resultant heifer progeny evaluated for production, management and TOP as 2 year olds.

Participating farmers may select breed(s) required for bulls across a minimum of 75% of their herd. All mating and calving information is submitted to the national database, and resultant heifers herd tested (minimum 4 tests) in their first lactation as well as being available for TOP inspection. Benefits to FastForward farmers have always been low cash outlay for potential early genetic gain. But now with genomic selection AmBreed’s FastForward product has just got a whole lot better!
