Semen OptionsTeam AmBreed Team AmBreedMost Team AmBreed is supplied via the CRV AmBreed Technician network, although it is also available for DIY.
It is not our traditional way of selling semen, in that with Team AmBreed, the client leaves it up to CRV AmBreed to allocate the bulls they get. Which bulls? The client orders the number of straws required of each breed and CRV AmBreed does the rest. Simple!
90% of Team AmBreed is supplied in fresh semen using our NZ proven sires. Top priority is given to providing high genetic merit packages and with CRV AmBreed’s reputation of providing quality all-round genetics, the team is a very attractive one with addition of our best Spring Forward graduates though the season.
Clients who like to determine the specific bulls they get should still purchase their semen via ‘Flexipak”. This is particularly important in matching a bull team to a particular herd’s needs. On the other hand, with Team AmBreed, everybody gets a similar bull team within the breed(s) ordered and so tailoring to an individual customer is not really possible.
How is semen allocated?Team AmBreed semen is collected and distributed 3 times a week (Monday, Wednesday and Friday) with 2-3 bulls of each breed used each day on a roster basis. CRV AmBreed allocates specific semen for each client on each collection day. This is determined before it leaves Hamilton and so there is no “end of run blues” which can occur with other systems.
Technicians provide In-cow serviceCRV AmBreed recognizes the need for a comprehensive technician service and so Team AmBreed is mainly supplied at an “in-the-cow” price. Discounts are offered. The bigger the herd, the cheaper the price per cow. We offer a significant discount for DIY also.
What Price?Team AmBreed was introduced to the New Zealand market to be competitive on price and quality with no similarly packaged alternative available. You can be confident of obtaining great value for your investment. Talk to your CRV AmBreed Sales Rep or Manager (link to contacts page) to obtain a price for you herd.
Final price is determined by actual quantity of straws used and/or cows inseminated. FlexipakCRV AmBreed uses the highly successful Flexipak system to allow clients to nominate the top bulls at a price level that they can afford.
Rather than the top bulls selling out very early in the year, under Flexipak, they last much longer as clients are encouraged to buy teams of bulls rather than an individual bull or two.
However, clients should be warned that popular bulls may sell out of frozen semen as early as March.
