So why wouldn’t you do the same with your cows? Manage inbreeding and develop a breeding programme specifically tailored to your herd to produce the very best cows suited to your farming operation with the use of SireMatch, mating advice to fast track profitability. In 2002 AmBreed introduced Genescreen, the first NZ BV based mating advice programme for New Zealand dairy farmers. Thousands of farmers have since maximised their genetic gain for a relatively small effort. Now, with the release of SireMatch, our farmers have access to the next generation of world-class mating support. SireMatch features Breed profile - Loaded breed profiles can be used as a selection criterion and define the best profiles for individual matings. Crossbreeding – For simple crossbreeding, you can process for a defined breed to be mated to another breed, meaning SireMatch will generate the crossbreeding plan for next generation. Bull package – Choose sires yourself or allow SireMatch to select them for you to get the package of bulls best suited to your requirements. Cow groups – Set up cow groups and mate different bull packages to a specified set of cows, allowing highly targeted mating management. Breeding goals – Use the predefined breeding goals for farming operations in New Zealand or develop your own breeding goals with the help of your Field Consultant. Reach your goals faster – SireMatch will seek out the best sire-cow combination as it performs thousands of calculations to correct the weakness of the animals. The 5 weakest traits are noted on the mating advice, and SireMatch offers 3 sire options for each animal. Reports – SireMatch provides reports at the animal and herd level. Use your reports to compare cows within the herd, or across herds, to identify weaknesses and develop breeding goals. Managing crossbreeding becomes much easier with SireMatch. Using the settings of the breed profile per animal, you can process for a defined breed to be mated to another breed, meaning SireMatch will generate the crossbreeding plan for the next generation. So now crossbreeding can generate real and solid results while being simple to implement. SireMatch Options & Pricing SireMatch is available in three levels – from simple screening for inbreeding and genetic defects, to tailored breeding goals and managing individual animals. All registered New Zealand sires can be loaded as a starting point for a customised bull package.
