Local Taupo dairy farmers have come to value the fantastic herd testing service provided by Diane Wilson, who has spent three decades working for CRV Ambreed and is as passionate about her job and her farmer clients as the day she started.

For the past four years she’s worked as regional service coordinator for the central North Island, leading a team of herd testers who collect and test milk samples from cows on client’s farms. Her team’s region spans an area from the Auckland Harbour Bridge in the North to Taihape in the South.

CRV Ambreed recognised Diane for her long service during the company’s recent Herd Testers’ Conference in Hamilton.

“Many farmers in the North Island, past and present, would know Diane. She has looked after and worked with more farmers than you and I can count,” said CRV Ambreed managing director Angus Haslett as he presented her with a long service certificate and bouquet of flowers.

“It’s a fantastic achievement to spend 30 years with one organisation.” Angus said.

“Diane has seen many developments in genetics and has experienced the giant strides made by the dairy industry during her tenure.

“Diane is known for looking after the customer all through her working life. Her mantra is nothing is more important than the customer.”

Diane, a former dairy farmer, is based in Taupo and shows no sign of her enthusiasm for CRV Ambreed letting up. Her passion for farmers and the company has never been stronger.

Diane said the company had experienced many changes over the years with the team’s passion always remaining steadfast.

“Thirty years on from the day I started, the CRV Ambreed team is still working to achieve the same goals we were back then: supplying the very best genetics to New Zealand dairy farmers along with the best service.”

Diane began her career in the industry with Wrightson’s Breeding Services as a sales representative in 1986, building the company’s farmer client base in the Rotorua, Reporoa and Taupo areas until Ambreed acquired Wrightson’s Breeding Services in 1991.

Diane has taken on many challenges since then – she has worked as a sales representative, became one of the company’s first full time sales consultants and spent time as a district manager.  She is currently CRV Ambreed’s regional services consultant for the Central North Island, managing a herd testing team.
