The next New Zealand Animal Evaluation run takes place on 14 February 2015.
The New Zealand Animal Evaluation run is managed by New Zealand Animal Evaluation Limited (NZAEL), which is a wholly owned subsidiary of DairyNZ and manages the National Breeding Objective for New Zealand dairy cattle.
NZAEL aims to develop, promote and deliver technologies that optimise genetic improvement in the national dairy herd. NZAEL exists to ensure relevant on farm data is captured, data quality is high, data is analysed accurately using world leading analytical methods and outputs are then applied in an appropriate manner.
The Animal Evaluation Unit is responsible for overseeing and undertaking trait evaluation runs and economic value updates.
