CRV Ambreed is a sponsor of the Smaller Milk and Supply Herds (SMASH) Conference 2016 on Monday, 27 June 2016, Solid Energy Centre, Westport.

Theme: Finding the Silver Lining

A positive, vibrant and interactive day organised by dairy farmers for dairy farmers, with plenty of time for informal networking. Get ideas, methods and inspiration to make the shift to a whole new level!

Programme highlights

Agriculture, with a few exceptions, is currently pushing into a head wind and uphill – the key is for how long?

Pita Alexander, well-known farm accountant and raconteur, will share his views on where the industry is heading. Pita has many years of farm accounting experience and is the source of much wisdom about managing farm finances and the dairy industry in general.

Achieving value from your vet

Phillipa Hodges, from Buller Vets, will speak about how to get the best value from your vet. She will cover which preventative treatments will give you the “best bang for your buck”, how to make sure they are carried out at the right time, and how to use information to produce the best animal health results.

Pressing the right buttons

“Pressing the Right Buttons” encourages us to appreciate and value all types of people because there is great strength in diversity. Allie Mooney, award winning speaker, will give you the lowdown on the importance of understanding and respecting each other’s differences, which is key to developing high performing teams and a happy home life.

Programme runs from 10.30am-3pm.
